World of Ore Brand & Publishing
Brand Design
World of Ore brand gives the impression of a realistic, yet fantastical travel company that delivers unforgettable experiences. World of Ore is visually distinguished from other fantasy brands and publishers through the use of bright and light color tones, reflective of a coastal environment. All elements of the World of Ore brand offer an escape from a dismal reality into a unique landscape of adventure and, most importantly, hope.

Author Page
My focus was primarily to reach Instagram followers as my target audience is 30-40 year olds who are fantasy fans and most likely also have children. I grew my audience through paid ads at first and then, organically via one reel a week to attract new followers, static update posts for my followers, and heavily posting to story to retain brand loyalty and visibility. I also gained many followers through weekend events.

Newsletter
In just a few months, I grew my newsletter subscribers from 20 people to 300. This was accomplished through personality quizzes based on my book as well as newsletter sign-ups at events. As of June 6, 2025 my newsletter stats are 41% open rate and roughly 5% click rate.

Website
I created the World of Ore website according to the brand guidelines, using an animated ocean background as the central theme to give the feeling of travel. I used my own illustrations to depict the header graphic elements on the World of Ore Explore page, and wrote the copy for the entire website.
Events
Weekends are often booked with events for my book. These events are essential for sales and growing my audience base. Because of my booth design and marketing tactics, I often draw crowds and have been experimenting lately on optimizing my tent for a better flow of traffic.

Publishing
Cover Design
The cover design of World of Ore books reflects the brand guidelines of World of Ore, using gold, blue, and white tones set against a coastal environment. The main character, a young girl, is set upon a bear to showcase their unique relationship and catch the eye of potential readers. I used AI to draft a concept of what style of art and design I wanted, and then hired an illustrator to execute my vision. I designed the text and wrote the copy for the cover.

Audiobook
I hired Rachel Atkins, a voice actress through a U.K. talent agency to read my book. She had a track record for participating in high-profile fantasy videogames such as the Harry Potter, Elder Scroll, and Baldur's Gate. She also narrated for classics including the Jane Austen novels. Because of my limited budget, I decided to edit and produce the audio myself, having taken courses in audio production in the past.

Sales
Legend of Geriana: Part One was released on August 24, 2024, and as of June 6, 2025, has sold over 400 copies through online and physical sales. My book is available on Amazon, Audible, and two local bookstores. Profit margins on book sales are low, but I make most of my money through the World of Ore brand, selling merchandise and Fairytale Kits. These kits include a signed book and other whimsical goods customized based on personality quizzes. I aim to make $1,000 per event, and I have raised my average earnings to $600+.

Philanthropy
World of Ore is dedicated to bringing hope to the world in tangible ways. Even as a budding brand they have donated over $500 worth of books and funds to Echo Ministries, a non-profit foster care organization with locations throughout central Florida. World of Ore focuses on providing stories and tangible resources to inspire hope in children and families who are experiencing devastating circumstances.
